Could you please possibly help with determination of this specimen I collected in N Namibia in December not far from Otjo.
The size is 22mm.

No, it is correct Mallonia Thomson, 1857.
Mastigocera Dejean, 1935 is older homonym of Mastigocera Berthold in Latreille, 1827.
Check here.
I take this opportunity to underline that the tribe "Neopachystolini" is nomen nudum (no paper supporting this) and unnecessary replacement name. |

Beautiful beetle ! I think it's Mastigocera albosignata (Chevrolat, 1858)
(By the way: the genus Mallonia disapeared ?  ) |
