It is a long time ago - check Holzschuh (1999). |

Posted - 10/03/2013 : 17:04:58 You are right: the metatibiae are completely different! I go to change BioLib... I can consider it as "not accepted synonymy" |

Posted - 10/03/2013 : 15:38:55 the titan database lists "vitticollis" under the nominate subgenus and also under "Lajoyeia"
I thought Holzschuh published the new status of "interrupta" but maybe I have made a premature statement in my Borneo catalog. The fact is that the two species are different, and I will ask Holzschuh about formalizing the new status. |

Here a X. vitticollis / Borneo det. by A. Weigel (left site) and a Male / Borneo, determined by myself with normally legs. In Holzschuh 2005: "Beine beim Male (X. suturella) normal gebildet - wie bei vitticollis" = "Legs normally formed - alike as vitticollis". I`m sure C. Holzschuh has seen the type of the two spec. |

In BioLib, X. interrupta is a synonym of vitticollis (after Gressit & Rondon, 1970).
I have noticed that the Titan Base provides the same synonymy. Have the data already been updated by new taxonomic papers? If not, I have to identify this species as vitticollis... |

Posted - 09/03/2013 : 19:54:33 I have vitticollis and interrupta and they are different.
The tibiae are distinct and this would then appear to be X. interrupta. |

Posted - 09/03/2013 : 17:55:50 In the description of X. suturella Holzschuh, 2005 (thank you Xavier!!!), this spec. is compared with vitticollis and interrupta. According to this, interrupta is marked by very kinky meso- and metatibia (male) and a small stripe after the scutellum. In BioLib, X. interrupta is a synonym of vitticollis (according to Gressit & Rondon, 1970).
Male metatibia (sublateral). |

Posted - 09/03/2013 : 16:09:21 It looks to me like Xoanodera vitticollis.
I have all the Xoanodera from Sabah in my collection, and I have photographs too. X. interrupta Pic looks similar. |

Posted - 09/03/2013 : 12:49:16 There are 3 species in HOLZSCHUH Carolus, 2005, Beschreibung von neuen Bockkäfern aus SE Asien, vorwiegend aus Borneo (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae). Les Cahiers Magellanes 46: 1-40, 31 figs. Did you verify?? (me, I can't read German ) |
