mmmhm... diese Gattung ist charakterisiert durch einer massiven Körpergestalt aber auch einer Narbe auf dem Schaft; kannst du sie bemerken?
Sonst, sollten wir an einer anderen Gattung denken...

In den Beschreibungen bei Holzschuh, 1984 von D. intricatus und D. pellitulus geht er auch auf die beiden anderen, orientalisch verbreiteten Arten ein (D. cinereus F., 1793 und D. sericeus Gardner, 1939). Danach scheint es keine der besprochenen Arten zu sein.
-D. cinereus: with spines at the apex of the elytra.
-D. sericeus: rosette shaped toment, Pronotum with distinctly medial Hair - line.
-D. pellitulus: Antennae shorter than body and other
-D. intricatus: Antennae shorter as by pellitulus

I trust you Francesco . I don't recognize Diorthus simplex. I only find 2 others Diorthus known from Nepal and described by C. Holzschuh in this paper.

I tend to believe that this species is rather a Diorthus. |

Well, really I don't know. But your specimen seems "younger and cleaner", and the shape of the pubescens is quite the same, no ? |

Hallo Xavier. I see small differences by the pronotum and by the 3rd antennal segment. The elytra are also more opaque by my Spec.
I think it is not the same Spec.

It might be a Derolus,... may be this one.
It works also with the picture of Gressitt & Rondon (1970) n° 14h. |
