In my opinion, Z. crassinus and Z. pannosus are good species. I have examples of both and they are different.

Only now it seems likely that the holotype has erroneous label data. Nonetheless, it is still a valid species.

Now, we know here that this species, Z.crassinus, does not exist in Thailand !
Is Z.crassinus Holz. a true species? That's the second part of the problem.

This is Zatrephus crassinus Holzschuh 1992 which was described from Thailand. I've seen others from Sabah which Holzschuh identified for me.
