Love the antennae of this guy. Just handsome.
This one was about 1.5" in body length.
Cyriopalus sp.?

Francesco, yes, the same specimen. Pretty sure. We kept him in a box till morning for natural light photography.

mmmhm... are you sure that they are the same specimen?
The wrinkles of the prothorax does not correspond to C. pascoei but to C. wallacei. Both species are present in Borneo.
Moreover, this latter species as a globose prothorax, while the former has a cylindrical one.
Actually, after balancing the colours of the second picture, the typical yellow pubescence of pascoei disappears.
Hence I think that Cyriopalus wallacei Pascoe, 1869 is a more correct ID.
Gerard, I move your pascoei to the female you posted some time ago.

I have got one in my collection, but I can only imagine the emotion of seeing it living...
