14 mm, Crocker Range, Sabah, Borneo.
Chloridolum gontrani Bentanachs, Vives & Chew, 2012 reconnaissable à son pronotum rugueux aux 2 taches bleues triangulaires disjointes (Cerambycidae de Bornéo-I, 2012, pages 32-33; page 91, ill. 25 et 25a).
Nouvelle espèce pour le forum.

Danke, Dan.

yes, the image of the pronotum is from the type. Joan Bentanachs sent me some images via email. the published images are very difficult to use

Hello Dan
Is the image of the pronotum from a Type? Unfortunately I have not the original description.

Thanks both of you for the pictures and the interesting news!

Thank you. Comparing the shape of the pronotum it's the same species.

Authors of C. gontrani should be "Bentanachs, Vives & Bosuang" (He changed his name 2 years ago)

I think there is still some difficulties in separating some Bornean Chloridolum. But the work done by Bentanachs is helpful,

Attached is a closeup of pronotum of C. gontrani.
