Coming bak to this species, the correct name is Schmidtiana insignita (Pascoe, 1866).
Pachyteria strumosa Pascoe, 1866 and Luzonia malayana Podany, 1968 are both junior synonyms of this species, as established by Hayashi (1979).
This paper (here) was overlooked by all following authors such as Hüdepohl (1983) or even Morati & Huet (2004) and Bentanachs (2012)!
However, the name is correctly mentioned by the Titan base and BioLib. |

I do not agree.
Schmidtiana spinicollis (Pascoe, 1866) should have yellow limbs, as the female below (Pascoe's original drawing):

This species, with limbs partially black and elytral apex obscured should be a male of Schmidtiana strumosa (Pascoe, 1866), as the male below (Pascoe's original drawing):

The yellow spots at both pronotal sides are a sexual character. |
