The same story like with the previous one.
I named this beetle as Schmidtiana violaceothoracica (Gressitt et Rondon, 1970) only because there seem to be no other Schmidtiana in Laos.

Problem solved!
The beetle seems to well correspond (I also have got the picture of the type), even if the elytra should have two obtusely raised lines. But, they seems to be perfectly smooth.

I suppose yes.
It belongs to the group of those having bi-colour elytra... unfortunately, we always have the same problem of Gressitt & Rondon's book...
