Exactly: Rhopalizus nitens nitens (Fabricius, 1781).
In Cameroon another subspecies characterised by blue colour is present: Rhopalizus nitens houyi Schmidt, 1922 (here in the gallery). Finally, another subspecies with completely black legs, Rhopalizus nitens nigripes Chevrolat, 1858, is widespread in Ivory Coast. |
