Recently, I got the specimen from a friend and examined it, so I can ensure it is Demonax ovicollis (Fairmaire, 1895). Here is the type picture of Demonax sandaracinos Gressitt & Rondon, 1970. |

On type picture and description, there are black marks on each side of top of pronotal disc for D. sandaracinos, with half part of hind femora are blackish.
Demonax ovicollis has no black mark on pronotum, and only a black transverse band on hind femora.
Both species have similar elytral pattern.
Make your own idea, I can not. |
