May I have your opinion about this Trachyderini from Mexico / Hidalgo. Body length 13mm.
The entire body including legs and ventral side is covered with long, smooth, erect white pilosity.

Waldrep sent me a poor photograph, and I'm not inclined to identify species from bad images.

I have Neocrossidius trivittatus in my collection, identified by an expert on the Mexican fauna, and your photo is clearly good enough to see. Some of these Mexican species are really common, but most of my friends no longer wish to travel there.

Dan, this is also what I would have said at a first glance. But I am not sure as the points on the disc of the pronotum are different from what I have to compare with.
It could be possible that you already held this beetle in your hands... as a fact I have recieved it from our friend Waldrep who told me that he had shown it to you, and apparently you said an identification is difficult due to the large number of similar species occuring in Mexico.
