It's likely Styloxus fulleri fulleri, which I recorded from Hidalgo State of Mexico.
Heffern, D. 2002. New records of Cerambycidae from the United States. Insecta Mundi, (2001) 15(2): 94.
Styloxus oblatipilis is typically smaller than S. fulleri and the differences between the two species are very difficult to see in a photo.
But, also, I think there is likely an undescribed species (or two) in Mexico. There is rarely an opportunity for anyone to examine a series of these species, as Mexico is not always a friendly place to go collecting. |

Oui, en effet, ils paraissent plus courts. Les mâles sont peut-être plus sveltes. Le renflement aux fémurs postérieurs semble différer aussi. Quand je regarde la base des antennes, ça concorde.
