Hi Jerome, Prosopocera sofala and her twin species? Thought I had emailed you on this already, noted that I never did sorry. Will find and email, just need to get back to my office. Believe that the two are the same species, even the apparent differences in habitat range can be easily explained.

Ok I will look at my side what is it? I do not know the African Cerambycinae well because I really cantoned in the Lamiinae but I will look anyway!
About where do you stand in relation to the question I asked you about Prosopocera sofala and her twin species?

Hi Jérôme, currently, I am struggling with the difference between M. orientalis and M. antennatum based on the descriptions. M. orientalis was described on a female specimen, whist the sketch of M. antennatum seems to be that of a male? Do note in the description of M. antennatum that differences were given between the male and female antennae but is quiet as far as the shape of the pronotum between the sexes.
On the current literature, and with my limited knowledge, I cannot find identifiable differences between these two species. Maybe I am missing something in translation ...

Struggling with this:
Seems to fit the description of Mythozoum antennatum based on the inter ocular spacing, length of antennae segment 3 compared to 2, and the general outline of the pronotum.
Question: is there a difference in the pronotum outline between males and females in the genus? |
