Artimpaza metallica (Pic, 1918) is a good option, for the name, and for the country.

A.biplagiata Gahan looks totally different; the original drawing is here

The species described by Tian et al. is very doubful. I have found some holotypes specimens in MNHN in kind of "forgotten boxes" , but I have not seen 3 holotypes from the same area (south China / Laos, etc) and I do not kwow where they are; so I can not understand how it is possible to describe a new species- blackish like other species ! - without checking those holotypes...

Hi Vitali , ...how did you find this paper ?
Vitali Posted - 27/06/2013 : 13:20:02
According to the work by Tian et al., on China Artimpaza in Zootaxa there is only one species, A. biplagiata, with reddish (or reddish brown) “clavate part of femora...“ in China.
Did you check this species? The beetle in the photo seems to have at least hind femora reddish brown.

I can't see on your picture if it's this species or not. May be you can ?

It belongs to Artimpaza genus, or close; I'm searching...
