E. elegans was described from W. Malaysia. Specimens from Sabah show a variation in the amount of red coloration. E. takakuwai (from the south end of Borneo) are heavily marked in red, and seem more consistently marked than E. elegans from the north end of Borneo. Someday, maybe we see material from Central Borneo.
