La specie che avevo postato, non era M. (Ocytasia) catoxelytra, ma una specie prossima, decritta da Holzschuh (1991).
La specie nera che avevi postato ormai più di cinque anni fa è invece una femmina di Merionoeda (s. str.) indica (Hope, 1831). |

Avec un peu de retarde... technique... voilà la vrai Merionoeda catoxelytra (Chiang Rai, Thaïlande).
Ceci est le mâle, avec les mésotarses typiquement dilatés. |

This and the linked one are surely the same species... but surely, they are not Merionoeda catoxelytra!
In fact, it belongs to the subgenus Ocytasia, which is characterised by mesotarsi typically expanded. Moreover, it has yellow elytra.
I have got this species and tomorrow I will insert a picture. |

Mi pare una Merionoeda, genere facente parte dei Molorchini e poi degli Stenopterini, ma che andrebbe trasferito ufficialmente negli Oxycoelini. A differenza di queste tribù, infatti, il primo segmento addominale è lungo come i quattro seguenti, esattamente come negli Obriini. |
