Anybody knows the family of this small beetle (3 mm) from Cyprus (maybe a Tenebrionidae)

I agree.
Six species are known from Cyprus (cf. Háva J., 2003 - World Catalogue of the Dermestidae (Coleoptera) - Studie a zpravy Oblastniho Muzea Praha-východ v Brandýse nad Labem a Staré Boleslavi, Supplementum 1, 196 pp.).

No idea how distinguish them.

I found similar sps in the web under the genus Thorictus, many sps are known from S Europe and N Africa !
