I'm not going anywhere so try and get it for us. Know the collection data is correct as it came from a Phd Entomologist friend of mine.

Bill, you're beetle is probably a Calliprason. Here is C. pallidus Pascoe 1875. Psilomorpha spp. occur in Australia but looks like one was introduced to NZ

Song & Wang revised the genus in 2001, in Invertebrate Taxonomy. There are only 5 species so perhaps they are easy to key. I don't have the pdf. If you can get the pdf, please send it to me, otherwise I can ask a friend who works a university to get it, but may take a week or two.

Interesting!
It seems to be a Psilomorpha but not tenuipes Saunders, 1850.
