Posted - 16/08/2013 : 17:57:05 The holotype of R. straussi is preserved in the Civic Museum of Natural History, Genoa. No specialist checked it during the description of the var. rufolineata (actually a good species), or of R. lislei Rigout, 1980 (actually a synonym of straussi), or during the revision of this genus. Only in 2006, Carlo Arrigo Casadio noticed that R. straussi was in reality a species completely different from what was believed until that moment. Rosenbergia straussi Gestro, 1876
Rosenbergia rufolineata von Breuning, 1948 |
