Hi all,

We are planning to do a small revision work on the South-African & Somalian genera Callixanthospila and Xanthospila.

We are looking for any data/pictures/observation you might have to complete our work.

Many thanks,

Best wishes,

Pierre-Olivier Maquart

Hi Anders,

Good: we reached to the same conclusion
May I ask which synonymy you established ?

However, what do you mean when you say that Bixorestes and Xanthospila are not from the same tribe ? Both are Callichromatini no ? (Biorestes is not a Typhocerini anymore )

Thanks,
Best regards,
POM

Hi,
Callixanthospila Adlbauer is a synonym of Bixorestes Pascoe.
I have recently submitted the MS for revision of this genus. It is supposed to be published in next issue of Magellanes (FYI: Callixanthospila and Xanthospila systematically have nothing to do with each other; they are in different tribes).
Cheers,
Anders
