How can one keep pupas of Cerambycid for travelling
(outside their chambers ....)
the excat problem is, having found pupas of Cerambycid, how to keep it safely for travelling by plane (Cabin passenger)and bring it back to Europe (from Tropics).
I never had the case (except a big larva of Tithoes) and don't know how to do.
Of course impossible to take the tree trunk or Something like that

We usually carry in a box like (Small one of 3'' x 3'') container with one side perforation or like Xavier word, placing cotton at open end of the test tube after placing pupae into it.
I don't think so, the custom fellow allows your pupae from other area..! |

A friend of mine put each pupa in platic tube with coton at extremity. Like that, it travels savely by plane (but not in cabin passenger, because it should not be allowed). He does the same with branch, part of trunc, etc. |

The main problem is to ensure an appropriate humidity. I reared several Cerambycidae and Buprestidae from pupae found in nature in glass vials with tight cotton corks which I moistened sometimes. If one let it too long dry, elytra can be deformed in an adult. |
