CHINE, Guilin, Guangxi Prov, 2011.08.10,
taille 17 mm

Bonjour bonne fête à tous.
Je commence une série de Lepturini de Chine.
Celui-ci selon mes recherches ça pourrait être Mimostrangalia inateralis.
A confirmer.

Difficult to say, it is just a black, more or less, beetle. I will try to send you the paper, but it is big.

I do not have that paper.
Is the type corresponding to this species?

Here are the synonyms of this animal given in Catalogue of Life :
Mimostrangalia inlateralis Hayashi & Villiers, 1985
Strangalia inlateralis Pic, 1955

You can find the photo of the type (?) in Hayashi & Villier (1985)... which is very poor in my copy.

I have finally found this species as identified by an American colleague: Mimostrangalia inlateralis (Pic, 1955)... evidently, the same species...
I have to add it to BioLib.

I did not find M. inlateralis either, but this species is not lateripita, which is characterised by elytra dark at the lateral margins (you can red its original description here).

Thank you insectb. happy to have your help, I found this animal of Viêtnam which seemed to me to correspond to Mimostrangalia inlateralis (Pic, on 1955). But I did not find this name on BioLib.<br>Therefore you are right, Thank you

Hi Gerard~
In my impression it's closer to Mimostrangalia lateripicta Fairmaire, 1895.
But, on the other hand, I don't know what is Mi. inateralis? I can't find the name in the Catalogue vol.6.
