size 22mm. TIBET. somebody say it's but I don't think so. Here I took 3 photos, please compare with Anoplophora longehirsuta from Thailand. If it is not Anoplophora longehirsuta, what it should be? here's a link of Anoplophora longehirsuta of Thailand. |

Posted - 04/01/2015 : 11:29:09 I strongly think that this specimen is a type of A. gressitti. |

Posted - 06/11/2012 : 21:35:05 By using the monographs of Anoplophora, this specimen should be identified as A. longehirsuta. According to the authors, this species differs from stanyleana in the elytral pattern forming bandas rather than spots. Nonetheless, there are intermediate forms (for example A. parelegans Chiang, synonymised with A. longehirsuta), which has yellowish bands lacking at the suture. The small size might be due to the particular montane biotope... very difficult to see anything from a picture... |

Posted - 05/11/2012 : 18:59:55 Hello it seems different, longehirsuta has a tubercle on the pronotum and a scar on the mesosternum. The size seems small to me. |
