OK, to add a bit more confusion to the appeal of Xavier here I am placing a photo much more similar to the type specimen. In fact, I thought it to be just a colour variation of the species shown by me above. |

Posted - 06/01/2013 : 13:11:46 There is a slippery branching in the published key for Uraecha: not easy to decide whether the tips of elytra rounded (I cannot understand each elytron or both) or truncate. I have to confess that I am not completely sure in ID. |

There is a review by Wang Wenkai Jiang Shunan, „China mud color longicorn genus Uraecha Thomson Classification of (Coleoptera: CERAMBYCIDAE: Lamiinae),“ Entomotaxonomia, 2000, Vol.22, No.1, p.45-47. It is in Chinese and Google translation is terrible, but I was able to identify a very similar species (see photo below) as U. angustus (Pascoe, 1865) |
