Posted - 17/03/2013 : 14:27:08 I've learnt a lot from recent posts on Acalolepta recently, but also got lost. Here are 5 specimens in my collection, all from Guizhou, China. I think I can tell A. cervina and A. permutans with pretty high confidence, the rest confused me. Please help me, thanks. (Sorry for the greenish color in my photos, I have not got a method to get rid of flares from my old manual focus lenses yet.) 1. A. cervina
2. female of A. cervina?
3. A. permutans
4. no idea.
5. can't tell.

After equilibration of colours.. this specimen with inflated antennae is correctly A. cervina. |
