In fact it is not A. subaurata, since the pronotum should have very minute lateral spines.
It is Acalolepta lineata (Breuning, 1939)

Dan's species is correctly A. subaurata.

Yes, this looks like a female Acalolepta.

I have examples of Acalolepta subaurata Schwarzer from Sabah, which has shiny pubescence. This species is similar, but I believe it is a different species.

It is difficult to tell from the photograph, but does this specimens have shiny pubescence, too?

This is rare in Peninsula Malaysia.
