Posted - 04/06/2013 : 00:25:53 Oh, the A. albisparsum pictured in Hua et al. (2009) is really quite similar to the spms from Tam Dao, a more widespread sps in this area. Hayashi (1992) described B. vietnamensis too, see attached descr & picture (sorry for bad copy), I believe this is the right sps, but a bit strange Hayashi did not compare his both sps with the maybe very similar A. albisparsum

Posted - 02/06/2013 : 07:47:49 It is very similar to the Annamanum albisparsum (Gahan, 1888) of the book of China. Nonethess, the picture in the Forum - very similar to the specimen figured by Lingafelter & Hoebeke (2002)- looks different enough... |

Posted - 31/05/2013 : 19:52:56 From HUA (2009), the description of Blepephaeus yagii = Blepephaeopsis yagii Hayashi, 1992 ? from Taïwan (but, strangely, no mention of synomyme in Titan or biolib):
Length 20 mm. Brown; on base of elytra with punctures, on middle with a white oblique band, distal scatered with small white spots.
I'm not sure if it might be this species, and I haven't the original description . |
