To my mind, my first picture matches the type image for Xenicotela distincta. Look at the scutellum pubescense.
I think the second picture may be Monochamus binigricollis.
Attached is a picture of M. binigricollis from Laos that my friend Jim Cope took at the Bishop Museum.

I think you are right : the second picture is a different species (different shape of black spots, hairs on antennae, etc)

Is this pic the same then? These are from Ba Be Vietnam, but the elytral punctures and pubescence are very different from the specimen from Chiang Mai
