Is this also Acalolepta cariosa? I am not sure how much variations there are in the punctuation of this species? There seems to be some differences from Robert's specimens. Acalolepta cariosa was formerly called Orsidis cariosa. There is also an Orsidis singaporensis Breuning, 1979 from Singapore. Anyone has its description? |

A. cariosa from Borneo is somewhat larger and simply looks different from your specimen.
A. cariosa differs in the uneven elytra, which look as teratologic. |

For my specimen, the third segment of the antennae is only 1.4 times as long as the scape. Otherwise, it is a bit hard to judge without the O. proletarius. |

Breuning says that O. singaporensis is similar to O. proletarius and adds only a couple of more lines to the description. The length is 14 mm.
