Esp. for Francesco I have made a plate with the 3(4) very similar Acalolepta sps related to the likewise or nearly same mottled elytral tomentation. Only the last one have a spiny elytral apex and is well separated.
A good differentiation feature between A. celebensis and ? A. montana is maybe the wider frons for the later. The body size of all species is in a bigger variation, only the both below are generally larger.
I know only A. celebensis (see type section), the others I don't know really well - there is space for discussion  |

besten Dank Francesco, A. rusticatrix sollte man gut kennen, ist weit verbreitet, variabel und wohl auch sehr häufig (pest species) ! |

Danke Francesco für Deine ID, es bleibt eine schwierige Gruppe, ich habe viel Material und werde es bei Gelegenheit prüfen, das kostet aber viel Zeit ! |

Meiner Meinung nach, ist das die echte A. holotephra. |

Thanks Francesco, now I can id two species of my collection more satisfied, did you see the types of this both sps, with Breuning's key its impossbile to get a reasonable result. What's about A. neopomeriana maybe a further synonym. |

This is Acalolepta arrowi (Breuning, 1935) or Acalolepta corpulenta (Breuning, 1935), both from New Britain... I am not sure that are different species... |
