Acalolepta bifasciata (Westwood, 1848) is right.
Here you can seen Westwood's original drawing:
Monohammus bifasciatus Westwood, 1848
The same species was mentioned as "Trachystohammus subelongatus Pic, 1936" by Thai entomologists (e.g. Ponpinji, 2011: below), but it is a non-sense, such as "Celosterna pollinosa var. sulfurea" (actually luteopubens), "Paraleprodea crucifera" (actually, triangularis), or specimens of Hoplocerambyx spinocornis sold as Trirachys orientalis.
"Trachystohammus subelongatus" in Ponpinij, 2011, actually Acalolepta bifasciata
I do not know who and where began these mistakes, but they are hard to extirpate!  |
