I do not think that this genus can reach Papua springing on the Philippines and Sulawesi.
In all likelihood, fake label.

Yes, not different than my specimen of Trachystola granulata Pascoe, 1862 from Indonésie (Kalimantan). Is this genus present in W-Papua ?

This specimen, with quite long spines on pronotum, could be T. scabripennis Pascoe 1862 ?
Differences between T. granulata and T. scabripennis are unclear for me.
