Posted - 29/01/2022 : 11:06:05 Yes... I have tested this species. The problem that it does not correspond to the original description (here, p. 55) due to the white pattern.
It might correspond to Pharsalia intermedia Heller (here, p.29) from Madras, which Breuning considered as a variety of proxima. The linked specimen, preserved in the Senckenberg Naturhistorische Sammlungen, Dresden, Germany (see specimen information) it is not, in fact, a syntype of P. proxima (preserved in the BMNH) but of P. intermedia. I ignore if Breuning's synonymy was correct. |
