Note the difference in the lateral pronotum color.
Longitudinal vittae are of different widths.
Otherwise, colors are similar. Could be the same species. Or different.  |

Thanks for your answer. I have not photographed the Bornean Glenea in my collection yet. It may be another year or two before I can work on them. I have thought about writing to Ms. Lin for help since I know she has an interest in this genus.
I have seen Glenea where there are nearly two specimens that are only different by markings on the pronotum. Their elytral patterns are almost identical. While I have a large number of species, I don't have enough in series to make a strong opinion as to whether they are all just varieties or different species. |

The ID is based on Breuning's monograph.
More exactly, this species corresponds to the variety (?) sulla Aurivillius, 1925, with completely ochreous pronotum.
I did not read the original description; thus, this ID corresponds to "Breuning's sulla".
Actually, I do not know if all forms of this species (sometimes described as true species, varieties or aberrations) really belong to the same entity.
By reading recent papers by Lin et alii, it seems evident that many Breuning's statements must be completely reviewed...  |

Hi Francesco,
Please let me know what you based this determination on. Did you see the type, or have you have seen numerous specimens identified by someone that is trustworthy ?
The reason I say this is that I have a lot of unidentified Glenea and related genera from Sabah ( 40 - 50 species ). And I have many Glenea which are similar.

Glenea (s. str.) taeniata Thomson, 1860.
Besides Borneo, this species is widespread in Malayan Peninsula, Sumatra, Java and Bali.
