From Sa Pa env., N Vietnam, female, 10.5 mm, metathorax (except episterna) is black but abdomen entirely red.

Your specimen is Obereopsis quadrinotaticollis Breuning, 1949.

Yes, it is very similar.. Apex of metafemur reach out for 1\3 of third abdominal sternit (for female) and more than 1\2 of 3 abd. sternit (male). All right i think ^)
The angle shot can be deceiving in stacking method. Great.

I have found that the pattern of your species corresponds to the Taiwanese Obereopsis lineaticeps (Pic, 1911) (here), but the length of the merafemurs seems to me different.

Thanks, Francesco. But i`m don`t undestand really differences between Oberea\Obereopsis except long metafemur and size of body.. Very doubtless this species was be described among Obereopsis. Or i`m wrong?

Dear Max, I am more and more convinced that your species belongs to Oberea.
I will look toward this direction.
