Seems to belong to Phytoeciini (or Saperdini, not for discussion). Very hairy, two kinds of punctuation in elytra. |

Posted - 02/02/2011 : 17:11:25 Well, there are 35000 Cerambycidae species in the World. The probability to take photo of a new one is high I am happy this time all the beetles received their names. Thank you a lot.

It also is the first picture of a species of this genus on the Web... a thing to which we are already used |

Posted - 01/02/2011 : 17:18:21 That is exactly what I meant about Saperdini - Phytoecini. Sorry for missing locality. I placed several beetles at the Forum that day. All came from Tanzania. This one as well. |

Posted - 01/02/2011 : 15:26:36 I'd say a representative of the genus Mystrocnemis Quedenfeldt, 1882. The genus belongs to Saperdini for Lamiaires as well, which strangely conserves Phytoecini for other genera. Where is it from? |
