I have here a species from Mindanao which might of interest to everybody. Its pronotal marking resembles G. vesta and G. vestalis and elytra to that of G. pulchella. Based on PAIC island biogeography theory of the Philippines, Luzon species are distinct from Mindanao, while Mindanao have close affinities with southern wallacean species including portion of New Guinea. Any thoughts about this species?

Glenea vestalis has been restored in this paper:

Hiremath, Sangamesh R. & Lin, Mei-Ying, 2021 - Description of two new species of Glenea Newman, 1842 from southern India and reinstatement of Glenea vestalis Heller, 1934 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae: Saperdini) - Journal of Natural History 55 (3-4): 205-245.

Yes, I feel the same...

I have also spms from Ceram and W-Papua belonging to G. vestalis Heller, and I believe G. vesta Pascoe (= pulchella Pascoe) is a different species

The hololype picture of Glenea vestalis Heller, 1934 is now available here.

An old topic....

Years ago, Ole Mehl gave me a specimen from the Moluccas, which is virtually identical to the one I have from the Philippines, and thus matching Heller' G. vestalis.

A curious problem.

Hmmm I see what you mean.
This is my specimen labelled Glenea pulchella from Sierra Madre, East Luzon.

Bonjour, voici le dessin de la publication de Heller 1934.

HELLER Karl Maria, 1934 New and Little-Known Philippine Coleoptera - The Philippine Journal of Science 54 (2): 279-307, pl. I.

Glenea vestalis Heller, 1934 = Glenea pulchella Pascoe, 1858

My 3 specimens from Borneo have a somewhat different pattern. G. pulchella is recorded from Mindanao.
I think you may be correct, though, that it is closest to G. pulchella. Maybe a variety?

Hi there.
Try Glenea pulchella.
