Lectotype and paralectotype of Glenea cassandra Gahan, 1907 are presented in LIN M., TAVAKILIAN G., MONTREUIL O. & YANG X., 2009. A study on the indiana & galathea species-group of the genus Glenea, with descriptions of four new species.

I need much imagination to see the same species, but all is possible in this hard group.

Here a couple from Laos.

If your specimen from Borneo is G. torquatella, what are specimens from Laos & China ?

Unfortunatly, I have no holotype picture of Glenea (Glenea) torquatella m. binigromaculata Breuning, 1956 from MNHN, but Meiying should have one...?

- Glenea torquatella Aurivillius, 1923 is a species from Sumatra.
- Breuning described Glenea (Glenea) torquatella m. binigromaculata Breuning, 1956 from Vietnam

- WEIGEL A., MENG L.-Z. & LIN M., 2013 mentioned G. torquatella from Yunnan

The question is : is it really the same species in Sumatra than in Vietnam, Laos and Yunnan ? Because I haven't seen any holotype, I have no answer. But we all know that most of Sumatran species are different than species from " Indochina area" ...I guess that's why M.Lin wanted to study this "case".

M. Lin told me some years ago that she wanted to study the "G. torquatella from Laos". No news about that.

My specimens from Laos are really different than yours from Borneo.

Does anyone know Glenea torquatella from Laos? This Bornean specimen is somewhat similar,
