After checking Titan database, I see that Oberea nefasta Pascoe, 1867 occurs in Papua, mentionned by Macleay, Lea, Gressitt & Breuning.
By reading Breuning revision (1962), it should be this species:

You can compare your specimens with pictures here. Are they the same ?

Well, I have many specimens collected at the same altitude in Laos. It is not surprising after all in such hot countries.

Hi Xavier,
thank you for your help.
I was very surprise to find a Oberea sp. in Papua; we was aroud 2000 m asl.

Unfortunatly, I have a very similar species from northern Thailand here , and and I can't get anywhere with Breuning's revision.

Ok, that's an oberea sp. (short hind femora). I have to check now Breuning's revision of the genus.

It should be an Oberea sp. Do you have a lateral view ?
