Thank you Andre  for this nice species; but I'm not sure it's Golsinda basicornis Gahan, 1894.
The scape is black and shorter than 3rd joint.
- For Gressitt (1970), it could be G. corallina... but not for Gahan (1894) who says that G. corallina has the scape LONGER than the third joint... ;
- G. basicornis has reddish scape for Gressitt, shorter than the 3rd and rounded elytra apex; but for Gahan (1894), elytra are parallel sided for this species (as I can see on Gressitt's picture)...
I don't know Golsinda basigranosa Breuning, 1938 from Myanmar...

Xavier, Breuning cite G. corallina du Laos, mais il ne mentionne aucun spécimen!
Cette espèce n'existe pas en Laos.
Au contraire il mentionne 186 exemplaires de basicornis. |

Les liens de "Lamiaires du monde" montrent les 2 espèces, G. basicornis femelle et G. corallina mâle. Tu penses qu'il y a une erreur ?
Breuning mentionne bien ces 2 espèces pour le Laos dans la faune de 1970.
Je ne suis pas sûr que mon spécimen soit abîmé : les taches sont très symétriques...Ensuite, le système de pilosité est assez semblable chez les 2 espèces. Mon exemplaire à le scape un peu moins long que le 3ème article, mais sans autre spécimen pour comparer...L'angle des élytres est un peu "marqué" à l'apex, mais pareil, je n'ai rien pour comparer... |

According to Breuning's key,- G. corallina has the scape "à peine moins long que le" 3rd joint.
Nonetheless, he stated "élytres tronqués au sommet, leur angle apical-marginal distinct" - Instead, G. basicornis has the scape "distinctement moins long que le" 3rd joint and "élytres arrondis au sommet"
G. basiciornis was described on the basis of a single male (Museum Dehra Dum!) from Myanmar with a strongly granulate elytral base.
Breuning also stated: "Très voisine de basicornis Gah. (dont elle ne forme peut-être qu'une variété)"...
The linked pictures are male and female...
I'd say G. basicornis, basing on its geonemy and elytral shape. The kind of pubescence on the bases of the basal antennomeres points to this species as well. The scape might be "abimé". |
