This would seem closer, mine has fewer pronotal punctures, but the elytra punctation matches well and there are no basal asperites, as in the photo referred by Francesco. For now, I will label this one as arfakensis.

Subgenus Paranancylus Breuning, 1939.
The only species from New Guinea is A. latus Pascoe, 1865, which differs from A. socius (here) in the unicolor pattern...mmmmhm...
This should be just socius...
