Posted - 04/03/2009 : 10:55:08 This specimen is no Doliops but a representative of the genus Aprophata (Pteropliini). It might be A. eximia, but in Luzon two other similar species - A. eximioides Breuning, 1961 and A. notha (Newman, 1842) - are present. The former is distinguishable for the rough pronotal punctures, while the latter for the very reduced pattern and other features not guessable in your picture. Actually, I cannot understand whether your specimen has a normal or damaged pubescence... |
