Ai-je déjà posté cette espèce ?
9,5 mm (2 ex.). Hua Phan, Nord Laos.
Avec le scape = le 3ème antennomère, cette Pterolophia devrait appartenir au sous-genre Hylobrotus.
Quelqu'un peut-il m'aider ? |

J'ai pu enfin examiner mes P. melanura de Perak (Malaisie) et je puis te confirmer l'espèce.
En particulier, le dernier segment abdominal noir et le 4ème article des antennes blanc (surtout au coté ventrale) sont assez typiques. |

La description originale de Pascoe (merci la digital library):
Praonetha melanura
P. griseo-fusca ; elytris fortiter punctatis ; abdomine segmento ultimo nigro ; antennis brevibus, articulo quarto albo-cincto.
Malacca.
Greyish brown; head sooty; prothorax thickly punctured; elytra tinged at the base and posterior half with brownish yellow, the middle greyish, very coarsely punctured in regular lines; tarsi and last abdominal segment black; antennae shorter than the body, dark brown, the fourth joint white in the middle, the third with a slight tuft of hair, the remainder ciliated.
Length 5 1/2 lines.
Le dernier segment abdominal est bien noir. |

Merci Benjamin : Cette espèce a une large répartition --> de la Malaisie au Cambodge et au Vietnam. Pourquoi pas en effet au Laos ?
Sur les photos que je trouve sur internet, je remarque l'étroit anneau clair à la base du 3ème antennomère et la pilosité plus claire du 4ème, ainsi que les stries à l'apex des élytres. C'est peut-être cette espèce.
Un avis supplémentaire ? ou même la description de Pterolophia melanura (Pascoe, 1857) ? |
