Yes, I can confirm this sps, I found an older picture from N. rondoni (HT or PT) from the FREY collection in Basel.

I have seen the color picture of the type, and for me it confirms Niphona rondoni Breuning, 1962

Yes, I tried to go through the whole discussion. I don't believe I have the same species as in the two last photos in that ad, but the discussion itself is very interesting. I have to check a few characters in my beetle.

Thank you, Xavier. There is some similarity in the scheme of colour pattern, but much is different too.

There is a similar specimen here.

In the other hand, it seems close to Niphona rondoni Breuning, 1962 from Laos (but with a thiner second white band ?, hard to see...) Here the picture, fig.16b, of Gressitt (1970) :
