The fauna of Palawan is more closely aligned to the fauna of Borneo than the other Philippines Islands due to the last time that there was a land bridge connecting these areas during the last ice age. There are some exceptions to this observation.

Now, there is one species from Palawan: Cenodocus palawanicola Vives, 2017. I do not know if it could be the same.

Genus Cenodocus Thomson (Pteropliini).
No species is known from the Philippines.
