Posted - 26/02/2015 : 19:41:54 No, it is not this species. It should have a brown pronotum and the elytra with the following white pattern: a zigzag postmedian band, a post-humeral spot and a preapical spot.
Next time, I will insert the key to this genus... but identifying is a nearly impossible task. |

Posted - 25/02/2015 : 13:33:40 Sir, is it Pterolophia (Hylobrotus) subcostata? ... based on the ribbed elytra of this specimen (i've 6 specimens ranging from 13.4mm to 11.7mm in size) i'm assuming this could be P.subcostata; however, i do not have literature to examine (this is the biggest impediment i'm facing while arriving at a species)...kindly share this reference if you have "BREUNING Stephan, 1938 Nouveaux Cerambycidć (Col.) Novitates Entomologicae, Paris 9: 30-63." ....Gratitude
