Hi again.
This quite small and unusual Beetle has me stumped!
Side shot to show the white lateral streak.

Data: 08-2014 - San Miguel - Surigao del sur - Mindanao - Philippines - 13mm

Regards
Ben

Niphona hepaticolor (Heller, 1923)

The Genus Niphona looks a good shout.

Because of its name, it could be interesting to find description of Niphona plagifera (Aurivillius, 1924)
Xavier Posted - 14/01/2016 : 11:37:55
Well, it is not Sthenias varius: here the holotype. We have to check Niphona genus, I think.
Bennyboymothman Posted - 14/01/2016 : 09:43:52
Yes it does indeed. I haven't seen anything quite like it before.
Xavier Posted - 14/01/2016 : 09:32:17
It looks like a Sthenias sp..
But in Philippines, Titan database proposes only one species : Sthenias varius (Olivier, 1792) from ...Madagascar !!
