10 mm; Muruk, Nakana, Nouvelle Bretagne, Papouasie Nouvelle Guinée.

Pterolophia (Ale) variabilis (Pascoe, 1859) is another possibility.

Ok. I try to know who made the Id (Pterolophia (Ale) villaris) on Larry's website...

I'll make the translation later, sorry,

Dorey is north of the bird's neck in West-Papua, really a bit far from NB !

The same species is here
I do not know if ID, Pterolophia (Ale) villaris (Pascoe, 1865) , is correct.

Pascoe's holotype comes from "Dorey" . Where is it ? I have found a place named "Dorey" in Papouasie Occidentale (Indonesia), far from New Britain...Could it be the right place ?

Could you confirm your ID ? English (or french) robot translation speaks about carpentry and building

difficult, for longer time I determined my spms (a large series) as P. arrowiana Breuning, 1938 but I could'nt rememeber how, maybe compared with type material in the BMNH
