Posted - 15/03/2017 : 18:21:02 I wonder if my specimens are not Pterolophia pseudolunigera Breuning, 1938 like holotype specimen here
-> Pterolophia pseudolunigera which should belong to Hylobrotus subgenus, is another species.
-> species from Sabah, like this one has a white spot on each side of pronotum ( Thank you Gérard ) |

Posted - 15/03/2017 : 15:25:45 I think we must go further with this or those species. Bornean and Laotian species do not look the same.
Pterolophia lateralis Gahan, 1895, original description.

Posted - 15/03/2017 : 12:08:01 Thanks Xavier. Another mess! I don't know what is correct. I have over 50 different unidentified Pterolophia from there already. One more does not make much difference. |

Here, first specimen from Laos, second one from Thailand. I think it may exist 2 ou 3 species with sibling patern.... |

Posted - 15/03/2017 : 01:52:16 I have lunigera Aur., 1913 as a synonym of lateralis Gahan, 1994.
Is that a mistake? Breuning's catalog may have another error?

Posted - 14/03/2017 : 22:51:53 Can you post a photo of your P. lateralis from Laos? I have seen this species from Sabah many times. I have it named "lateralis" by somebody who should know. |
