This one from Hogsback, East Cape, sitting on a leaf over a small creek.
It is 10 mm.

After the synonymy Parahyagnis Breuning, 1970 = Peritragopsis Teocchi, 1987, the new of this species is Parahyagnis ficivorus (Pascoe, 1864)

Ok ! your specimen is Chariesthes (Peritragopsis) ficivora Pascoe but look the description for more assurance ..... Very similar to some specimen P sofala with which he is confused....check with the description anyway to be sure

I looked again, and I could not see one, there is a slight indentation apically on the underside, but based on other species with a cicatrix,
I would say no.

Ok I'll look in the sub genus Peritragopsis, maybe it's about Chariesthes (Peritragopsis) ficivora but it's curious ??
It looks a lot like the P maculosa !
He does not even have a tiny scar on the scape ?
Larry Bezark Posted - 26/01/2018 : 17:53:52
There is no cicatrix on the scape.
